North Hudson

North Hudson is one of those beautiful little towns but has not much left in the town center and only a couple stores still left,. At least the gas station on Blue Ridge Road re-opened and they even have credit card only pumps going all night for gas. At one time it was a thriving place when Frontier Town and local industries like logging kept the town employed. There were dozens of motels and cabin rental places too, now all closed or converted to apartments. But any stores you may need are a quick drive south to Schroon Lake. Most travelers just drive through this beautiful, large town on their way to High Peaks, Tupper Lake or Canada on the Northway missing most of it. It boast unparalleled outdoor beauty, hiking, hunting and just plain quietness to sooth your mind. It boasts two exits, 29 & 30, plus US 9. US 9 is a real scenic road here, cutting through the tall pines like a country lane.
